Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Account details. Your email address, name, and sign-in provider when you create an account (via email or Google).
• Content you create. The apps, projects, screenshots, captions, and images you upload or generate in the editor.
• Store credentials you provide. If you use the store features, the App Store Connect key or Google Play service account you upload. These are stored as secrets and used only for what you ask us to do: publish screenshots on your behalf, and import your existing listing details (app name, subtitle, description) when you choose to import them.
• Payment information. Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We store a customer reference and your subscription status. We never see or store your full card number.
• AI feature content. When you use an AI feature (such as the build-from-screenshot wizard or translation), the relevant content is sent to our AI provider, currently Google, to produce the result. We record how many AI actions you run and how many tokens they used, to manage cost and abuse. We do not keep a copy of what you sent, and our AI provider does not use it to train its models.
• Product usage. Which features you use and how far you get through them, such as starting a project, running an export, or reaching a paywall. We record what happened and when, never the content of your work.
• Technical and usage data. A session cookie to keep you signed in, plus your IP address and a device signal used to prevent abuse and enforce fair-use limits. Display preferences (such as theme) are stored locally in your browser.

• To provide, maintain, and improve the editor and export features.
• To process payments and manage your subscription.
• To upload screenshots to the App Store or Google Play when you ask us to.
• To measure how the product is used, so we can improve it.
• To prevent abuse, secure the service, and enforce usage limits.
• To respond to your requests and send service or account messages.
• To send marketing email only where you have opted in, which you can stop at any time.

We do not sell your personal information.

We use one cookie: a secure, http-only session cookie that keeps you signed in for up to 14 days. It is strictly necessary for the app to work and cannot be turned off while you are signed in. We set no other cookies.

Our product analytics sets no cookie and stores nothing on your device. It uses an identifier that exists only in your browser’s memory for the visit you are on, and is gone when you close the tab. We cannot recognise you on a later visit, and there is nothing to clear. If you are signed in, what you do in the app is recorded against your account, and deleting your account deletes it.

We use no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and nothing we collect is sold, shared for advertising, or used to follow you around the web. We do not record your screen, and we do not capture your clicks or mouse movements. Display preferences such as your theme and view choices are stored in your browser and never sent to us. Our abuse protection (Google reCAPTCHA) sets its own storage to tell real visitors from scripts.

We use a small set of trusted providers to operate Screenodon. They process data only to provide their service to us:

• Google Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database, file storage, and hosting.
• Stripe for payment processing.
• Google (Gemini API) for the AI features.
• Google reCAPTCHA for abuse protection.
• PostHog for product analytics and error reporting. We send it a record of which features were used and of errors the app hit, and we have turned off its location lookup, so it does not resolve your IP address to a place.
• YouTube when a page shows a video. We use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode, and the player loads only on our public pages.

We may use a different AI provider for a given feature where it produces a better or more reliable result. We will keep this list current when we do.

When you use an upload feature, your screenshots and the listing details you choose are sent to Apple or Google Play under their own terms.

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete your apps, projects, screenshots, uploaded assets, stored upload keys, AI usage records, your product-analytics profile, and your entry in our email list, and we cancel any active subscription.

A small set of records is kept after deletion:

• Billing records. Your customer record and invoices stay with our payment processor, because tax and accounting law requires us to keep them.
• Payment event log. An audit log of the payment events we processed, so our billing history stays verifiable.
• Abuse-protection records. Counters keyed to IP address and device signal, which stop one person from farming free AI usage across accounts. These are not linked to your account or your email once it is deleted.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information (for example under GDPR or the CCPA/CPRA). To exercise these rights, use the controls below or email us at contact@prestosaurusrex.com.

• Delete your account. Open Settings, expand Advanced, and choose Delete account. This permanently removes your data and cancels any active subscription. It cannot be undone.
• Marketing email. Opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us.

We protect your data with encryption in transit, access controls, and dedicated secret storage for sensitive credentials such as your upload keys. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Screenodon is operated from the United States and your account and content are stored there. By using the service you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States, and that our providers may process it in other countries where they operate.

Screenodon is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. You must be 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a subscription.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will revise the date above when we do, and significant changes will be communicated where appropriate.
